This unique handmade porcelain teacup is one of a kind. The embossed relief design heightens the tactile experience. Great for texture lovers! The high-footed, press-molded bottom lifts the cup off the table, and creates a slight ledge at the meeting of the cup walls. The outside surface is mindfully handpainted with underglazes in an abstract, graphic composition. A combination of glossy highlights and satin clear glaze completes the final outer finish.
The pulled handle is distinctive in style, is a comfortable 2-finger hold (for my medium lady hands), and complements the shape and surface design. Floating glossy glaze lines the inside, giving it a durable, foodsafe and long-lasting finish. The foot and all other unglazed surface areas are sealed with Liquid Quartz ceramic sealer - a waterproof and stain-resistant finish.
This cup is foodsafe and microwave safe. It can also be put in the dishwasher, although handwashing handmade ceramics is always recommended.
