do you take custom and personalised orders?

Unfortunately I don't currently have the capacity for custom orders. However, I am always open to hearing about ideas for new forms or color combinations that would align with my work and explorations. I might consider playing around and adding these to my general offerings.

how do you sell your work?

You can find my work at a few different places - the shop on this site will have a lot of my work available, and is where I will be exclusively selling my Fancy Butt mugs.

You can also find my work in person at Circle Craft retail store on Granville Island in Vancouver, BC, and in person + online at h squared gallery in Fernie, BC.

how should I care for my ceramics?

All functional ceramics sold in my shop are food safe, microwave, and dishwasher safe. I use Liquid Quart ceramic sealer on all unglazed parts of each piece, which renders these areas waterproof and stain-resistant. While all my functional wares are dishwasher safe, many people choose to hand wash their handmade ceramics. If the unglazed bottom surface picks up any discoloration, simply scrub with a scouring pad or sand paper to remove any markings.

what about shipping, tariffs, and duties?

I currently ship only within Canada and to the USA, although I plan to open shipping to some international destinations in the near future.

I take great care to ensure all my ceramics are well packed so they reach you safely. Each ceramic item is wrapped in two layers of single face cardboard, surrounded by ample padding of kraft paper and cardboard spacers where required, inside a strong cardboard shipping box. Sometimes I will reuse boxes and paper-based packing materials if they are in good condition.

All orders within Canada are shipped via Canada Post or an alternative carrier in the case of a postal strike. If a package fails to reach you in a timely manner, please refer to the tracking information you received when your purchase was shipped.

** US-bound orders are shipped via FedEx as they are currently able to process items with tariff-exemption (under CUSMA / USMCA), with exceptions.

As of mid-October 2025, I have successfully sent a test shipment to a US customer using this process, and the customer has not been billed for the tariff, however, I have heard reports of other US customers being billed weeks after delivery by FedEx, for purchases from other Canadian potters.

The shipping/tariff situation is extremely fluid at the moment and you should be prepared for the possibility of receiving a bill for tariffs despite my efforts to help you avoid paying them. US customers are responsible for paying duties, tariffs and carrier brokerage fees, separate from the purchase transaction in my shop. Please keep this in mind before you decide to order from me.

what is your return and refund policy?

I do my best to accurately depict and describe the items in my shop and I ask that you keep in mind that all items are one of a kind, made by hand and have imperfections. I want you to love your items and will do everything I can to make sure that happens.

All cases will be considered on an individual basis, so please message me if your purchase doesn't meet your expectations. But for transparency, these general rules apply:

All items must be returned in original condition, within 10 days, in order to qualify for a refund. Repackaging your item to ensure it reaches me with minimal chances of breakage during transit is essential. If the item arrives to me broken, I cannot issue a refund. Shipping charges, applicable import fees/duties/tariffs, and carrier brokerage fees are all the buyer's responsibility.

* Please note: All items sold as 'seconds' are final sales and do not qualify for returns or refunds.
