This unique handmade porcelain mug is one of a kind. The embossed relief design wraps around the entire surface, including the foot, and heightens the tactile experience. Great for texture lovers!
The outside surface is mindfully handpainted with underglazes in an abstract, graphic composition. A combination of clear glossy and satin glazes completes the final outer finish. The unique pulled handle is distinctive in style, is a comfortable 4-finger hold (for my medium lady hands), and complements the shape and surface design of this mug. Floating glossy glaze lines the inside, giving it a durable, foodsafe and long-lasting finish. The foot and all other unglazed surface areas are sealed with Liquid Quartz ceramic sealer, giving a waterproof and stain-resistant finish.
This mug is foodsafe and microwave safe. It can also be put in the dishwasher, although handwashing handmade ceramics is always recommended.
** This mug is a 'second' (slightly flawed) - there is a small crack at the signature hole at the handle's bottom (pictured close up), a slight warping of the rim, and also a small glaze crawl (pictured close up) and so it is offered at a discount. These flaws do not affect the strength or durability of this mug.
