The outside surface is mindfully handpainted with underglazes in an abstract, graphic composition, detailed with "RESIST" sgraffito carving. Multiple glossy glazes and microcompositions complete the final outer finish. The unique pulled handle is distinctive in style, is a very comfortable 3-finger hold (for my medium lady hands), and complements the shape and surface design of this mug. Clear glossy glaze lines the inside, giving it a durable, foodsafe and long-lasting finish. The foot and all other unglazed surface areas are sealed with Liquid Quartz ceramic sealer, giving a waterproof and stain-resistant finish.
This mug is foodsafe and microwave safe. It can also be put in the dishwasher, although handwashing handmade ceramics is always recommended.
